Compliments and complaints
We are committed to providing the very best education for our young people and we want our pupils to be healthy, happy and safe and to do well.
We recognise the importance of establishing and maintaining good relationships with parents, carers and the wider community.
We are aware that there may be occasions where people have concerns or complaints and our procedure sets out the steps that should be followed in order to resolve these as promptly, fairly and informally as possible.
We also welcome and celebrate positive feedback through compliments and praise.
You can use the information on this page to learn about how you can contact us about either a compliment or a complaint.
Compliments
We know that sometimes our staff go above and beyond in their work.
Whilst we will recognise and acknowledge these actions internally within the school and Federation, receiving compliments from our parents, children or other individuals can have a significant positive impact on our staff.
Please get in touch with us if you would like to make a compliment about a member of staff.
Our Head of School and/or Executive Headteacher will let the member of staff know and we will celebrate the praise together.

Raising Concerns
The majority of concerns can be dealt with without resorting to the complaints procedure.
Where someone has a concern or query about any aspect of the school or their child’s education or wellbeing, the should raise this with their child’s class teacher in the first instance.
Ideally they will be able to address the concerns immediately or can arrange a meeting with them to discuss the issue.
All concerns will be dealt with confidentially, although it may be necessary to take notes if the matter may need to be taken further or may arise again in the future.

Complaints
Most complaints can be dealt with informally by talking to the class teacher. However, if someone wishes to make a formal complaint, they must follow the Federation’s Complaint Procedure.
Following the Complaints Procedure ensures that all complaints are resolved as promptly, fairly and informally as possible.
Complaints may be made in person, by telephone or in writing (including via email).
The Complaints Procedure sets out the stages of our complaints process. It also explains what is expected of both the Complainant and the school at each stage.
